Rating System

My Rating System

Disclaimer: This is how I personally rate books by my own standards. Everyone rates books differently.

I have been reading for so long now, and I know myself as a reader. With that being said, the books I choose to read I most likely enjoy because I know what kind of books I generally like. With that being said, I am still honest with every single review I post on here. Typically, I just enjoy alot of the books I choose to read. This is all for fun and a hobby. This is definitely not my job. That doesn't mean I'm afraid of being honest. If I don't like something I'm not afraid to give it 1 or 2 stars and say why. But if I love something, I'm not afraid to shout from the rooftops either.

Basically I like what I like and I try not to let other people's opinions influence that.

With all that said, I've been using the 5 star rating system for a long time. It's because I use goodreads so much. I just feel like numbers and grades are so arbitrary sometimes, but I understand that many people (including myself) use rating systems to pick and choose what to read next.

So what does that mean? On the blog, I won't really be talking about specific star ratings unless it's a wrap up or recent reads sort of post. For reviews, I want my thoughts on why or why I didn't like something to be the focus. If you're really interested in my star ratings for each book I read be sure to follow me on goodreads!
